Colombia came in at No 17 which is pretty impressive since Colombia is a relatively newcomer to the whole Expat movement. In terms of Latin America, Mexico, Panama and Costa Rica are all in the Top 10 again, these countries have been favorites going back to the 90´s and early 2000 when Colombia was a much different place than it is today.
Not surprisingly, most Expats are leaving the US.
A very interesting finding is that most are planning on living outside their home country for 1 to 5 years or longer with 56 % planning on 5 years and maybe forever !
